Paris has a special place in my heart. I’ve actually lost count of the amount of times I’ve been with my parents, family from Australia, friends, friends and their parents, and most recently, Stephan (who had only been once before). I’ve experienced the city as a little girl, teenager and adult, yet I’m no where near fluent in French annoyingly!
I ate my first ever Oyster when I was about 4 years old in Paris. My parents tell the story with such a smile on their face “we were sat next to a Dutch family who were so shocked yet amazed at you eating an Oyster so young darling”… I’ve always been boujee.
I love the art galleries, beautiful restaurants, stylish shops, stunning 19th-century architecture, the Metro, and walking down the streets smelling the freshly baked croissants, it’s all heavenly.
I have collated my go-to Paris recommendations over the years and hope you enjoy visiting this wonderful city!
(The restaurant recc’s are from my most recent visit (2021) so these are up-to-date).
Hotel/Bars:
La Pigalle - a very chic hotel with quirky rooms, great price ad attentive staff. The Bar, restaurant and coffee shop downstairs are all excellent too.
Restaurant Derriere Bar - we didn’t go to the restaurant but the bar was great, very fun vibe, DJ, funky yet beautiful interiors.
@Bar_Bisou (no menu, you just tell them what you like and the bartenders make a drink specially for you in the moment, they play super loud fun cheesy music too)
@littlereddoorparis (usually huge queues and prepare for unique cocktails - not the average concoctions)
